Year Up Rhode Island is currently recruiting 18 – 26-year-olds in Rhode Island for a one-year program combining skills-based training and classes with a hands-on internship with one of our corporate partners. (Examples are but not limited to: Bank of America, Citizens Bank, Amica Insurance, Fidelity Investments, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island.)
Requirements to join the program are for applicants to be:
18-26 years old
Have a high school diploma or GED
U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or DACA
Our program is free + students earn an educational stipend of $200/mo for the first five months of skills-based training (classes within Information Technology and Business Operations) and up to $600/mo for the final six months during their internship with one of our corporate partners.
Our next class begins on September 8th, 2020 – and we currently hold two to three information sessions via Zoom a week, as well as hosting a 24/7 Online Info Session that can be accessed by an applicant at any time. Our admissions process (Information Session, Interview, and Onboarding) are all being administered online via Zoom as we navigate operations during the pandemic.
