RWU Career Pathway Opportunities for Un/Underemployed Rhode Islanders

From Candice De Los Reyes at Roger Williams University:

We are pleased to announce three upcoming workforce development programs that may be beneficial for your clients or other community members that you serve. The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at the Roger Williams University’s School of Continuing Studies is asking for your assistance in connecting your un/underemployed clients with three exciting training programs that can help onboard them to new career pathways.

Starting on June 6, we are offering Intro to IT Security, Legal Assistant and Professional Office Skills trainings. These 8-week courses are free for those participating in the DHS RI Works program or who are eligible for benefits through the Department of Labor & Training. Clients who are unemployed or underemployed but are not currently participating in the RI Works program may still be eligible to participate. To determine their suitability and eligibility for training, they should visit one of the netWORKri centers or DHS offices located throughout the state.

We have attached a flyer for each of the three programs which you should feel free to share widely. However, we can also drop off or mail hard copies to you if that would be helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in getting the word out about these programs!
